Winners and runner-ups of the Rooted Everyday Short Story Competition in Lemnos

14/05/2020

The Mediterranean Rooted Everyday Short Story Competition was an opportunity to commemorate and celebrate the richness of the Mediterranean cultural heritage which the young authors showcased in the best possible way through their inspired, original short stories.

The Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos (MedINA), with Terra Lemnia project, would like to congratulate all the young people who embraced the competition, as well as the teachers who passionately and caringly contributed to its implementation that led to a beautiful result.

The competition’s Judge and children’s book author Letta Vasileiou commented:
“I felt that, in a magical way, I was transported to the island of Lemnos, I looked at its landscapes, I smelled the aromas of nature and saw its inhabitants.
When a child manages to convey images, sounds or even senses related to smell or touch, then we are talking about the birth of a writer.”
